CHESHAM is a popular market town in the Chiltern Hills, Buckinghamshire, located 11 miles south-east of the county town of Aylesbury. Chesham is also a civil parish designated a town council within Chiltern district.
Situated in the Chess Valley and surrounded by farmland, Chesham borders Amersham and Chesham Bois. Historical records show that Chesham was a settlement from the second half of the 10th century, although there archaeological evidence shows settlers have been in the area from around 8000 BC.
The town offers easy commutability to London with Metropolitan line underground links and has a thriving business and pedestrianised shopping centre and its own Elgiva Theatre serving the local community. Local golf courses and good schools add to the growing appeal of this attractive town.
